The contest season kicked off this past weekend with the Dew Tour in Des Moines, Iowa! It was amazing to see the energy of the skaters, including numerous Stomp Pros, lighting up the street and park course at the city’s new 80,000 square foot skatepark. As an Olympic Qualifying event, this was a key contest deciding who was making the Olympic teams and representing their country, debuting a new sport. It was truly a contest like no other, amazing runs and camaraderie, giving a glimpse of what we’ll see in Tokyo this summer.
Stomp’s Manny Santiago and Amelia Brodka further secured their qualifications for the Olympics and represented Puerto Rico and Poland. Highlights of the event: Manny’s flawless run under the lights and Amelia's parents surprising her from Poland to celebrate.
So hyped to see Manny and Amelia crush it in Tokyo at the Olympics. Let’s go!
